First attempt for black berries, they were so real, you could not tell they were made out of sugar when compared to the real thing. I will also have the cake they were on under square wedding cakes, or check out my profile to see all the pictures. :)

Thank you all for your great comments. Some black berries were made with a mold, some were hand made (which took a LOT of time). Putting them together made them look even more real. I used a lot of black color to get a black gum paste, and the end result was a purple looking black. Some burgundy mixed with black paste was used to make the immature looking berries. All were dry dusted with black petal dust. All were steamed, and then a glaze applied to make them shine.
