Handbag-Animal Skin
Made a round fruit cake and cut off a piece to sit it flat on board. Covered fruit cake with a thin fondant coating which helps the final coat stick well over the cake. Made animal print from yellow and brown rolls of fondant (as you would with modelling clay) this is called patterned pastes. Made fantasy lillies from chocolate sugarpaste to match the overall theme.

Thanks for your comments - I entered into a comp and recieved a second prize! which I was over the moon about as the process of patterned pastes takes weeks to get correct!
