Scrolls And Ribbon

Scrolls And Ribbon on Cake Central

6",8",10",12",14" squares. Iced in buttercream with scrolls piped on and silk ribbon attached. Fondant and gumpaste monogram painted with luster dust. Delivered in a horrible rainstorm. Between this and the grooms cake (which no way am I posting except maybe in the "disasters" forum) I almost wanted to quit decorating.

Edited to add: I welcome any constructive criticism. Really!

This really is a stunning cake! Your scroll work looks wonderful! Do you use something to set your pattern on the cake ahead, like presses, or do you freehand it. There is so much repetition and it's all so perfect. I am doing an anniv cake in April and maybe a wedding in May. I would love to show my clients samples of scroll work and see if they'd be interested. Your cake is wonderful!
