This could be a wedding cake in a larger form. It's a vegan chocolate cake with buttercream icing and decorations.

Very pretty. I like this look with the flowers around the outside. I looked at your other cakes and you do great work. My only suggestion, if you are interested, is it looks like you used tip 67 or one of those types of leaf tip. It is almost impossible to get a nice point on the leaf with those. If you try tip 352 or a 'beak' tip that will give you a nice point on your leaves.

I love tip 352. It has 2 sharp points with a 'v' in the middle. You hold it so that one of the points is on the cake so it looks like a bird beak.

The cake looks great. I think once you change tips, you'll really like the way the leaves come out. My only question is regarding the vegan cake and the buttercream icing. Do you use a "real" buttercream? Or do you go with Crisco? Using butter would seem to cancel out the "vegan" cake. Unless, you're course, you're making it for someone like my friend who claims she's a vegetarian, but she eats chicken. :D Oh, and what type of flower did you do on the very top? I can't tell from the p...

I used Crisco instead of butter. I used the Wilton recipe but use a whole tsp of butter flavor and a whole tsp of vanilla and it tastes so much better. The flowers on top are just the same ones on the sides except they are piled on top of each other and accented with (unpointed...grrr) leaves.

Great cake. I love the flower garden look. My advice about the leaves is maybe use thinner icing. I made something similar with smaller leaves and I just wiggled the tip slightly at the end. Then used my finger to make sure they come to a point. It is in my photo gallery if you want to look.

Great cake. One of my goog friends is a vehan ( a real one, he won't even eat honey!). I still haven't been able to get a good cake receipe. Do you think you could e-mail me the cake receipe? Thanks
