gorgeous..and well done! I love the cascading flowers and I am soo impressed you did them in buttercream..wondering how in the world you stuck them to the side without squishing them :)

Haha, Jane... it's called 'make them two days ahead'!! They are nice and crispy when you put them on, then in a few hours, the moisture from the frosting on the cake seeps into them and softens them back up to eat. It's ingenius the way it works!

That is gorgeous! And I am sure they appreciated it! It seems those soldiers appreciate ANYTHING and EVERYTHING we do for them. I know, because one of them is my brother!
