Thank you for that advice sandra80. I will definally buy some gum paste and keep it on hand for next time. :D
don't cry it came out very nice. it just takes practice. next time you want something to stand up either mix it with some gum paste or give it an internal support like a thick wire for this handle. you did a really good job on it and your next purse cake will be even better.
