Poinsettia Birthday Cake on Cake Central

This was fun. This is the first time I've done the scroll work like this with a #4 tip. Iced in buttercream with poinsettia made from chocolate and fondant pearls. Also brushed the chocolate leaves with luster dust.

Thanks everyone! I must say I was pleased with the poinsettia myself. Easy, easy, easy! I did the same thing I did for my fall leaves cake; got a bunch of cheap silk poinsettias; took one apart; and piped on the backside of the leaves, then pulled apart after set. (Make sure wash your fake flower petals good first.) then I just dusted them with luster dust (orchid for the pink and green for the leaves) I used Wilton candy melts too, btw. Anyone can do this. So easy and pretty fast to boot. (Oh y...

Is this a french buttercream, it has an ivory tint to it, I love it! All the details are exquisite! Beautiful job.
