Ribbon Roses on Cake Central

Fondant was used for the ribbon roses/leaves; iced in buttercream.

Lovely cake! You said it was iced in buttercream..It's so smooth, did you use the faux fondant technique? :D

I'm not sure what the 'faux fondant technique' is but here's how I do mine. I cut the top edge of the cake off and then ice. Once the buttercream has set up for 10-15 minutes, I use a Viva paper towel to smooth.
