44th Anniversary Cake

We made this cake for practice and for an anniversary gift for my parents. It was our first time making a 3 tiered cake with dowels. We learned a lot!!! It was frosted in BC with fondant leaves, that were hand painted, and fondant numbers. It was fun and a learning experience!

We had some cutters for the leaves. They were hand-painted using Ameri-color food coloring mixed with a little water. Then they were dusted with a little gold shimmer dust. Thanks so much for all the comments!

Your leaves look amazing! Did you use a cutter? Also, what method did you use to paint the leaves? Is it luster dust?

You did a super job. I'd like to know how you painted the leaves, too.
