Pink Apple Blossoms Cupcakes
The cupcakes were iced with buttercream icing. The (stiffened) buttercream apple blossoms I did in advance and allowed to harden so that I could set each flower ontop of cupcakes, then did the dots in the center and leaves once placed on cupcakes. The top cake was a 7" round cake, decorated in buttercream as well to cordinate with the cupcakes. I like the angle that this picture was taken since it shows the entire cake well.

the apple blossoms I used stiffened buttercream icing, and did them each on waxed paper and a rose nail, using tip 104. It is similar to a pansy, only with 5 petals. Then after they hardened in the fridge for a day I was able to remove them and set each one on the cupcakes, then finished with the 5 dots in center and the leaves.
