When I started doing cakes, my friend asked that if she ever got into law school, she would like a cake that was a mermaid holding a gavel. I didn't ask why, but she got in and here's the cake! The dive float is in honor of my brother's 40th birthday, which we were also celebrating. Chocolate rum cake, buttercream and piping gel "water," hand painted and luster dust "rock" and gumpaste accessories. Cheated by gluing the gavel to her hand and the gumpaste seashells as a bikini. Big fun!
