Fondant Cake/ Stitched-Look Top Layer
Hi! The bride wanted her cake to match her dress, at least the stitched layer. It was so easy to do, and came out beautiful! The flowers are gumpaste with tiny white swarovski crystals in the stephanotis centers. Thanks for peeking! Jennifer Dontz

Thank you!!!! Didi - the pearls are made in a CK pearl maker. I use a ratio of candy clay to fondant, it's about a 3 to one ratio of clay to fondant.

Thanks Zubia, the leaves are simply done with a stitch wheel - I "winged" the pattern.

how did you get your scroll work to be so perfect? was it a roller that you outlined?
cj - no pattern. I just piped the hearts first and then fill in with scrolls. Just regular piping....

dshlent - A stitch wheel is like a small wheel used in sewing. It is small, rd and has tiny teeth. I do sell them if you are interested. Jen :-)
