Sleeping Baby

Sleeping Baby on Cake Central

This is a cake done recently for a friend's new baby. Rolled buttercream with fondant accents and figure. It's inspired by all the "woodland" concept cakes I've seen. This is only my second cake of this type....so hope you enjoy!

there must be, but i'm not that familiar with this site. i joined a while ago, but got side-tracked with backproblems. so i've been back to cc only for a few weeks. i don't like fondant either and as a result was forced into alot of experimentation with rbc. over the years i've found these things to be reliable: use less corn syrup than called for. use water or milk if it's too stiff. add meringue powder for extra stability and leave to "cure" for a few hours. hope this helps.
