Thanks all. I've been frustrated with making roses that look real. I think I'm beginning to "get it" but certainly need more practice. The roses are made from lavendar gumpaste and then brushed with African Violet petal dust. After that I dusted them with silver sparkle dust that I bought from CC (I love it). The wedding is Saturday, 8/4. I will definitely post pictures of the cake. Keep your fingers crossed for me.....I've spent a lot of hours on this cake so far. It's my wedding gift to her.
