Kate's Cake a la Martha Stewart Fall 2005 Wedding Issue

This was a challenging cake to make. The fondant was topped with chocolate transfer sheets. Tricky because you have to try to match up the seams as close as possible. I'm sure that if you do this frequently, it won't be a problem. The ribbons are fabric (per the bride's wishes). The inside was chocolate butter cake filled with white chocolate buttercream.

This cake is beautiful and very elegant. How did you get the marbelizing on the sides? Do you use the transfer sheets after cake is assembled or before?
