Pretty In Pink
This is a variation of my most requested design. Most of my brides want an all white version, thankfully this bride chose pink. Pink is my new favorite white! Cake: whipped cream vanilla cake and pound cake, vanilla bc with raspberry, pineapple rum and vanilla fillings.

Moralna, Gumpaste rolled ribbon roses - fold 2x6 in gp in 1/2. Roll/gather from bottom cut end to form rose. HTH

Ask away Moralna and cc, lid is rice crispy treats base, royal iced to smooth bumps then covered in fondant.

Regymusic, what to say? The girls used all my words to describe this cake. Do you mind sharing the name of the colours you used? Is this like a dusty pink? Did you use gold on the strips? I loved the idea for the lid...man what an awsome idea. I guess you use royal icing in both sides of the rice cryspys? Does it take a long time to dry? I would love to have a class just to learn how to do a cake like that!

Believe it or not, I used just a tad of super red to get the pink and the white is bright white. Everything is brushed with super pearl luster dust. This picture was taken without a flash. The pictures that I used a flash on show up a more of a barely there pink and bright white. Lighting matters.

Thanks Cindra. To prop open box I inserted skewers into the cake (pointed side up) and 'stuck' the lid on top. HTH.
