Baby On The Beach

Baby On The Beach on Cake Central

I made this for my daughter's second birthday. We had her party at the beach. I used the Wilton 3-D bear pan, and modified it.

The sand castle was frosted in brown, and I rolled out brown fondant for a base, then used crushed graham crackers on both. It was a lot of fun to make, but boy did it ever take a long time!

If you go to the Wilton site, on the birthday cakes page, I used "Having a Growth Spurt" as the basis for this cake-just changed the outfit. The pigtails are made by poking sucker sticks into the head, then flexible straws on top of those, then icing on top of that.

Oh my gosh- the detail on this- UNBELIEVABLE! I LOVE her flip flops!!! Way too cute. Thanks for sharing! :)
