The Man With The Yellow Hat
This is a cake I did this weekend for a Curious George themed party. I wanted something a little different and love to do 3D stuff, so this is what I came up with. The brim of the hat is gumpaste. Cake is iced in all white B/C. Cake & brim were airbrushed with yellow at the same time (to get the color consistant). The band is black fondant. Drum is 20" diameter and cake stood ~ 16" tall. Fun and easy cake! Did you know they gave the man with the yellow hat a name in the latest movie? Blasphemy!!!!

Love it!!! Best childhood memory of my Grandma was when we would stay over and she would read us Curious George books at bedtime. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure it was a hit.

How did you cut this cake?
There is a covered cake board between every layer since they say you should never assemble a cake more than 6' tall bc it will overflow the dessert plate. Plus, it needed to be doweled to support all the weight. Thanks for looking!!!
