Bridal Shower

A friend wanted her bridal shower cake to relate to her upcoming wedding on the beach in Mexico. This was a really fun cake to make. It's a quarter sheet cake, one layer of lemon cake and one layer of orange cake with a orange almond custard filling. Icing is BC and decorations are fondant and gumpaste.

How did you get the water to look so gel like? What is that? Great cake!

Thanks for the nice comment ! I got the idea for the water from sugarfancy here on CC. Take a look at her picture if you get time, her water is much better I think. She helped me with this cake alot (thanks Irma!). The water is just blue gel paste coloring (Wiltons) mixed with some piping gel. This is the first time that I've used piping gel and thought it was really neat stuff. Oh I did put a layer of BC icing under the beach and water first. I wish that my flip flops and towels had shown up more
