Sarah's 2nd Birthday

This was a cake patterned after the chosen party decorations. The interesting challenge was to do a wave of two colors around the side of the cake to match the plates and napkins. The butterflies and flowers are all made from hand piped colored chocolate.

Yes exactly! It is handpiped chocolate. I use clear acetate that I buy by the foot from my local plastics shop to pipe the chocolate onto. It gives a beautiful smooth finish to any designs I create. I piped the white outlines of each flower first, and then I filled them in with the various colors of chocolate. They are so easy and the kids love to pick them off and eat them.
