This is black and white the way it should be. Absolutely Mahvelous!!!!
Did you really cover 100 mini cakes in fondant! You are my hero! I can't imagine such a job
this is great. Did the bride know what she wanted or did she tell you do whatever you think is best? How long did this take you and how did you do the bows on each mini cake?
I really did :D, You say hero, I say crazy. I covered 200 before, now our limit is 100, soon it may be 5:)
So incredibly perfect and beautiful.
Thanks so much for the compliments, ryansmama, we were undercharging terribly and now have gone up to $4.75 a mini. We will see how that works out, I definitely don't want to charge so little that everyone chooses them:), Harmonhouseofraymond, originally the bride wanted the coral color for 50 minis and the brown for 50 and then coral and brown bows on minis. So, we convinced her it would look a little Halloweenish and came up with this and she was open for what we wanted to do with the topper to. (co...
It took over 10 hrs. from start to finish for decorating (see comment furthur up in comments for process). I have a bow cutter in different sizes from PME I think. I got it from Beryls.com.
thanks conniesue, it really was a little exhausting:)
Absolutely gorgeous love it :D
Fantastic cake. Do they all have their own cake board???
:D this is just too adorable. Think of all the wonderful colours one could utilize for their event. I would like to know if the beads on the white fours are silver non perils or is this free-hand bead frosting? wow, the flower display is beautiful! as well as the hearts. i do love calla lillies. mmm
So elegant!! I never thought of black being used for a wedding, but this is soooooo perfect!!
This is stunning! Love it.
Thanks so much for the feedback, much appreciated :) bubblywhitewine, lets just say it took FOREVER:) to do these minis. I would say it easily took me 10 hours from start to finish for all 100 minis. I simple syrup and fill them, then freeze for a few, then I buttercream them and freeze them again, and then I cover them in fondant and do the detail work. These are 2 x 2 in sq. Stephaniescakesnj, I used regular fondant to cover them; Neeron, the beeding was Royal Icing colored dark brown.
OMG! That is fantastic!
May I ask what you would charge for something like this? It's flawless!
