Piggy Bank

Piggy Bank on Cake Central

I got this idea from Two-Hour Party Cakes by Carol Deacon. This cake was SOOO easy and now I want to do all the cakes in the book! LOL It is a yellow cake with BC filling and fondant. The coins are foil covered chocolates

This is great. I 'aint no good at modelling animals and I recently failed badly in class to make a pig. This is a perfect and much easier option. Thank you for your inspiration.

I know a freind who would love this cake. He's so sweet looking! You did a beautiful job with the fondant and the details!

That is really really cute. Perfect for a bank teller's retirement or something! It does look pretty easy for such a great cake! I love the presentation with the coins! I just put it into my favorites to refer to some day to copy. What pan (or bowl) did you bake in?

I just got a party cakes book in the mail today, by Carol Deacon. It's not "two hour party cakes" but that cake is in it. Yours looks exactly like the one in the book.

Congrats on making it to the final 68 (from more than 600 entries) in the Woman's Day magazine with this cake! Love your avatar too, BTW!
