My First Book Cake
This cake was half vanilla and half chocolate. Frosted with buttercream and covered in fondant. I used red terracotta petal dust and burguny luster dust to create the old leather look. I was very pleased with the look. The glasses were made of gumpaste.

Great job! How did you get the title and emblem so perfect?
For the title and the crest, I googled them then printed them out. I used an exacto knife to cut out the title which made a stencil. I put it on the book and painted with gold luster dust.
For the crest, I printed out the shield and cut it out and used as a guide to cut the shape of the shield. I hand painted the rest on the crest with petal and luster dust thinned with lemon extract.
I think this looks great, you should be proud!
