Made for my son's 1st birthday. Fondant beehive coated with sanding sugar and spotted with marzipan bees

I used a Wilton Wonder Mold pan and a 9 inch round, 3" deep. This combination of sizes works really well; I use it for my doll cakes too. Just stack them together and carve the sides a little to make it curve down evenly, then slice into layers, fill and frost.

Thanks! I was kicking myself for making the "door" way too big, but when you are getting ready for your kid's 1st Bday you don't have a lot of fix-it time.
