Loopy Bow

Another loopy bow cake. She wanted pink icing and a brown bow with brown polka dots. The bow was kinda plain, so I used a Wilton tool that makes impressions and cuts out shapes. I used the cut out shapes for the dots. The bow is 50/50 gumpaste and fondant.

Your bow came out great! How did you get such a perfect loop?

That is a very attractive cake. Lovely job. And good thinkin' on using the cutouts as the "dots" ... very effective!

Thanks!! Practice makes perfect, right?!? Actually, I lay the bottom loops out before I start "glueing" them on the board. Once the bottom row spacing is right, the rest kind of falls into place.
