Lemon-scented White Sponge Cake With Milk Chocolate Ganache

This is one of two birthday cakes I made for friends this past weekend. This is a two-layer white sponge cake with lemon zest, filled and frosted with a whipped milk chocolate ganache flavoured with lemon zest. I reserved some ganache before I whipped it so I could pour it over the frosted cake to give it a shiny glaze. I decorated the cake with lemon buttercream and a lily made out of strawberry starburst.
