Husband's Car Cake

I finally finished. I posted a picture of the topper earlier, but thought I would also post the completed cake. Lemon cake, BC icing, topper made from combination Wilton/MMF.

Everything is fondant except the floral wire that I bent for the windshield and some tooth picks to hold on the tires and my husband's head! lol

I truly hope my husband doesn't ever see this! He and his buddies are all into re-building and re-building their cars over and over! They would love something like this!!!!!!

I am just learning, to make the figure did you make each part then dry then assemble? any help appreciated! want to learn to make fondant stand up figures! You are par excellant!

This is great ! I can identify with this senario--sometimes it has been the only way I can talk to either of my sons for any length of time--a "captive audience" !LOL!
