Baby Trouble!
This is the complete cake with the child carer theme. This cake won me a Gold Award at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England last November for Cake with a Novel Design category. I still have this cake in it's complete state as I haven't had the heart to take it apart! The cake underneath is made of fruit so it will be good for a few years yet although I doubt I'll eat it! It'll soon be time for this year's competition. I'm doing a character wedding cake and also novel design.
wow you are soooooo good!
Oh. my. goodness. How precious.
Wow! such detail! Beautiful work!!
That is beautiful, you are so talented!
Love the babies, of course! So Good
Well, if that is not the cutest thing I have EVER seen! You must have babies of your own! You depicted them so very well!
My babies are 17, 18 and 24....been a while since they looked like these ones!
beautiful cake
Awesome!
This one is really cute! I love the babies and all of the detail!
This cake is wonderful. I wish I could do those babies. All your cakes are gorgeous!
Fantastic as always
it is so cute, and I am looking forward to see your cake in Birmingham
You never disappoint! Awesome :)
beautiful cake - the babies are so cute. What are the babies made of gumpaste or fondant and what colour did u use to get the skin colour as its not a pink nor a brown
I use Sugarflair paste colour, flesh/paprika. I use Regalice Professional Sugarpaste which I think is equivelant to your fondant...but don't quote me! I add CMC powder to this to make modelling paste (gumpaste?) Have you seen "How to Make a Face" in the forum under Cake Decorating and also How to...? It may explain a little more.
very cute!
