Very beautiful cake! I love the stacked books and cap. Is the mortar board all fondant or did you cover something?

This is way awesome. How big are the cakes, how long did you need to finish them, your writing is awesome. Do you have a top view as well?

Thank you for the wonderful comments, it's my first time posting any of my finished cookies and cakes.Now that I figured out how I will post more pictures. Cathyfowler the cap is all gumpaste so is the diploma. And Ursula the bottom cake is 13x9 and is german choco w/ pecan carmel filling and the top cakeis8x10 wasc w/ white chocolate raspberry filling (to die for).I made the cakes on Monday and froze them. I only had Friday to decorate, because we had the party up at the lake on Sunday. So Sat. was ...

out of the ?. When we got to the lake house it was so hot in there and it takes forever to cool. I put the cake in the fridge, it gave it a really nice shine and enhanced the leather look.
