Pirate Sword Cake

Pirate Sword Cake on Cake Central

Buttercake with vanilla buttercream icing. The sword is carved fondant decorated with edible silver & gold paint and cachous. Edible chocolate gold coins, pearls and crushed wafer biscuit 'sand. Inspired by all of the wonderful cakes on this site for my son's Pirate's of the Caribbean 6th birthday. Thanks!

Thankyou, what a nice thing to say! I had a lot of inspiration from this site and thank everyone for sharing thier fabulous ideas. I was pleased with it, however a little disappointed that the blade cracked when I lifted it onto the cake, but no matter, my son was happy

Great work! I didn't even notice the crack until you mentioned it, but then it looks like it is suppose to be there. Awesome job!

Your cake is great! It is funny that you mention the crack because I did notice and thought wow she did a good job by adding that crack to make it look like a real older sword. I think it is great!!!
