Texas Hold'em Cake For SIL

15 inch hexagonal yellow cake with French vanilla mousse and
buttercream icing, then covered with fondant. My SIL loves to play
Texas Hold'em so when he graduated from college, my DD, DH, & I
thought he'd love this cake and he did. It was a lot of fun to make.
This was my first shot at making a fondant covered cake all on my
own. I was very happy with the way it turned out. Hope you'll like it too!

BTW - I got the idea for this cake from an older Wilton Yearbook. Mine is a little "poofier" than theirs! LOL   :)

Great Job :D I did a version of that from yearbook last year - Yours is great - I found my color writers didn't write the pictures as dark as you got it - Great Work :D

Thanks Dawn & yecats! The texture was from an impression mat I got from www.countrykitchensa.com. My writers were Wilton and actually I have had them for quite a while. I bought them for my last Wilton class and forgot I had them in the refrigerator. I wasn't even sure if they would write. LOL. Thanks again to both of you.

Love your poker table cake! I haven't gotten the nerve to try a fondant covered cake for someone other than family. The impression mat on the "wood' worked great. :D :D
