First Wedding Cake

This is my first paying wedding cake. I have only done one other one for my daughter. So this was a super big project for me! Buttercream with gumpaste flowers. The top tier was strawberry cake and the rest were vanilla bourbon.

So lovely! Great look with different designs on each tier. Squares are hard to do and yours turned out really great! Awesome job!

Great job!! I will use your cake as an inspiration for a cake I have to make this coming July.

Thanks everyone for all of your lovely comments! It was almost overwelming for me on my first wedding cake - but somehow I survived! I got lots of compliments at the wedding so it made it all worth it. Laly - I forgot to mention the design came from Diane's Cakes and More. The bride just changed up what she wanted on the sides. I think the 3rd tier was too busy and my piping is very professional (yet!). DoniB - as for the corners I followed the tutorial on here by B.Keith Ryder.

I don't see where we can edit our comments on this new format... On my previous comment I said my piping IS very professional - I meant - it is NOT very professional yet - I need lots more practice. I worried more about my gumpaste flowers and didn't worry about the basics - which I should have been practicing. Many lessons learned!!!! :D

Thanks everyone!! Japalis I got the cutters from a "sugar friend" of mine. If you want more information pm me. BlessBeckysBaking - I had a stamen mold to shape them.

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!! I can't believe that is only your 2nd wedding cake. I love your cake stand, where did you find that? If you don't mind me asking. The stand choices for square cakes are not numerous.
