Thankyou all. Everything is made with sugarpaste and for the elephant....I used my hands! Roll a ball for the head and gently pull out a trunk, bending it upwards a little. Stick a paintbrush handle into the paste to make a mouth and widen and shape it with a damp paintbrush. Dip a cocktail stick into black paste colour and make two dots for the eyes. The hair is a tiny, tiny rolled piece of paste, lifted and glued into position using a paintbrush. Dust a little rose coloured powder into the mouth.
sooo cute. I am a big fan of your cakes, and I think you are way better than Debbie Brown. Have you ever thougt about publishing a book about decorating techniques? You are very good at explaining how you do the modelling.
Oh my goodness! You are waaaay too kind. I would love to imagine that someday I would be genius enough to produce a book of my own designs and skills but I just don't see myself in the same category as Debbie Brown with her many years of teaching and creating and me with my 3 and a half years! She demonstrates all over the world...I do demonstrations for local womens guilds! No contest I think! A huuuuge thankyou for your appreciation of my work. I feel proud!
