Yes they do get hard just like fondant...
What a gorgeous cake! You do beautiful work!! I've never used luster dust--does it have any taste to it?
No as far as the ones I've used they are tasteless.
Woooow .... Verry Pretty !!
Wow that's a lot of luster dust! This is beautiful!
LOL yeah I guess I went happy with the dusting huh...
The dust is so evenly brushed...what's your secret?
Well the gold I used two coats of the dust mixed with lemon extract. Then when it was drying I kept going over it with the brush. The other dust is either blown or shaken onto the cake and flowers.
Beautiful work, great looking cake!
This is stunning!
That's very, very pretty. I love those flowers, and the ribbon going up looks really cool.
Absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic work! Looks so professional!
Thanks so much everyone!!!
Very pretty!! Your flowers are great!!
This is just beautiful. Can you tell me if you can really eat the decorations or do they get hard like fondant if not covered?
I don't understand the "painting" with the luster dust. Did the ribbon start white? If so, I can't believe you got it that beautiful of a gold. What were the amounts of dust to extract? Any help.
Yes they started white and then I painted them with lemon extract mixed with super gold dust...just mix it until it looks like paint. I went over them twice.
Absolutely stunning! I literally gasped when the photo came up!! Beautiful!!
Wonderful, elegant cake. I love the gold ribbons. I love everything about it, actually!
