I love this idea and your are done beautifully! How do they bake inside the cone without burning the cone?
Happy Birthday ! :cake: Great cupcakes.
Wow, I love that idea, please share how you bake inside the cone!!!
They look great! I'll have to try these.
Nice job! I did some of these a few years ago for my brother's class. YUMMY! :)
Very nice. It's in the Cake Doctor book. They don't burn..you put foil around them to keep them standing up when they bake. I've done them... kids love em!
Cool! How long do you bake them for? Normal cupcake time?
CUTE....Happy Birthday To you...
Thanks all! I just poured cupcake batter into the cones, about 2/3 of the way full and baked according to the recipe. I also put the cones into a mini muffin pan to keep them upright.
Oh Yum! Love the cherries on top!
those look so yummy!!!!
How did you get your buttercream icing so white?
Lizbuth, I used the recipe for whipped cream buttercream on this site!
You did a nice job on these! I saw the directions for making them in a magazine a few months ago and plan to make them one day this summer! They are adorable!
Love them :D Happy Birthday to you
You're never too old for an ice cream cone. Great job!
These are awesome! Loove the bc "whipped cream" and the jimmies are total perfection.
Please tell me what #tip you used. I just made these last week -- I like the cherry-on-top idea! Such a hit! :D
I love these more than any other ice-cream-cupcake I have seen! I never really understood the others since the enormous mound of buttercream to look like ice-cream seemed like overkill but the whipped cream rocks! And the cherry and sprinkles on top are a perfect touch :)
Oh these are so cute! I'd like to make some for my grand daughter's b-days this year.
If you bake them in popover pans, they don't burn without the tinfoil. They are deep enough to give the coverage to the sides so that they don't burn!
they look pretty i made some before for my kids and nephews and they loved them, my neighboor did too and it's such a convinient way of making them because nothin goes to waist, they get to eat the cupcake and the ice cream cone! and i hope you don't mind me telling the people that were asking, you put foil paper around in each cupcake cup and it keeps the cone in place and protected! also what i did was i put thr frosting in 3 diff. color swirls, pink green.i like ur idea 2 it looks great! :) :)
how fun is that !
how did you bake the cupcakes in ice-cream cones with out the cone burning?! :o
