Baby Boy In A Blanket

Baby Boy In A Blanket on Cake Central

I have interpreted this Lindy Smith design many times although the baby is my own modelling. I always add a teddy bear or some other little item to make it a little different each time.

pressed the wrong key...to finish my question *laugh*...do you use stamps to make the small imprints on the fondant squares??

This is so lovelly...the details on the quilted sides are perfect!! Curious question?...is each tile pressed individally onto the bc side? Is that a dumb ?

Answers to ??'s - Yes, I use Patchwork Cradle Set for the side design emboss work. Yes, the squares are individually cut and stuck onto the cake, it is all fondant not bc. PM me if you need to know more! ;-D

Indy - the letters are done using letter cutters from FMM Products. Tricky to use but worthwhile once you get confident with them. I've had days with them when they are not my friend!! :?

Reesebaby1 - I've never made MMF. I use ready made sugarpaste (fondant) and mix it with CMC to make modelling paste. Gumpaste would be the equivelant of that I think.

Awesome cake! I love your letters. Aid you use cutters? If so I would love to know where to get some like that.
