1St Pirate Island Cake

1St Pirate Island Cake on Cake Central

This is a cake I did for my best friend's son's birthday! He requested a skull and cross bone cake...with persuation he was pleasently surprised with this island creation. Molded chocolate treasure chest, plastic accessories and candy rocks, skulls, crossbones, coins and jewels. 1st attempt using icing gel on the water. Thanks for the ideas all CC users have submitted which I used for inspiration.

Very cute. Where did you find the coins at this time of year? I am doing a cake and need to find them. Thanks

I love this! I just did a treasure chest cake and it was a nightmare. I wish I'd something like this. And Joanne, those coins are a pain in the butt to find!!

Thanks, I got the chocolate coins in the bulk section of a local cake decorating supply store. On occation I have also seen them at dollar stores . Party supply stores or the party supply section of the toy store sometimes carrys plastic ones for loot bags which would be an alternative. Hope this helps. Good luck!
