This is a neapolitan cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream buttercream frosting. I made it for a friend leaving our work place to stay home with her baby, so I had fun doing a little research to create a meaningful cake! The pearls are for luck, and I attempted some tropical and bird-of-paradise flowers (which mean "exciting new beginning"). I made a hibiscus which means "seize the opportunity", but it just didn't look right on the cake so I took it off. Bow and pearls have white luster dust.
