Dancer Cookie

this little booger was so hard to do! it was the only dancer because her arms and legs kept falling off before i could even lift the cutter up! i even tried flour. so much for making 30 of these for my dance team! oh well...better luck next time!

If the cutter kept tearing her arms and legs off, maybe you could use the cutter to make an imprint on the dough and then cut it out by hand? Then carefully remove the excess. A bit time consuming, but it might work a smidge better.

I learned that if you cut them on parchment paper or a silpat, they will not fall apart as easily. Just roll and cut on the silpat and lift up the excess dough. Don't move your creation and bake as usual. I did this with very delicate snowflakes and it worked really well. Great job on the ballerina.

She's cute. I've also learned my lessons about thin parts on cookies.
