Sure! I coated my cake board with a thin layer of corn syrup and then sprinkled brown sugar over that. For the sand castle, I just packed brown sugar in various small lids and containers and tapped it out to build the shapes. Just pack it hard and it will stay together really well. Also for the pointed top of the castle I used the little red cap on top of a candy melt squeeze bottle. Hope this helps!

Wow, what an amazing cake-your icing looks smooth as glass and your creativeness is very innovative. I absolutely love the sand-sand castles & pail. The life rings could not have been done any better and the rope is that little extra detail that puts your cake on the top of my list. Excellent job.
