Memorial Weekend Wedding on Cake Central

My fondant nightmare wedding cake all finished for today. 10" Strawberry bottom layer w/strawberry filling, 8" chocolate middle layer w/raspberry filling, and 6" golden vanilla top w/lemon filling. Fresh flowers using flower spikes generously given to me from an extremely generous lady~Thank You Tina! I also made a small side cake w/fondant. I don't think I'll be using fondant again for a while...

LOL! Thanks all of you, I just may not do any fondant cakes in the summer! I did receive a call from MOB with huge compliments, not only from her and the bride, but guests as well...everyone thought the cakes were special recipes... So in the end it was worth it!

I think your designs on the fondant look great....lovely cascade arrangement of flowers! I hope if I venture into fondant, mine will look at least 1/2 as good as this!

Thank You cakegal, I appreciate that! Yours will turn out just fine ~ if I can do it, anyone can do it!

It's just beautiful! The cake looks wonderful, like you do fondant all the time. I love to work you did on the sides. It gives me ideas for an anniversary I have to do this week. If you want the look of fondant without the hassle of rolling etc you ought to look into the faux fondant method. I love it. You do wonderful work no matter what you're working with but I understand the frustration. I'm saving this with my special pics. Thanks for sharing!
