Danni Wedding Cake
Our first wedding cake.... YEAH!. 10 inch caramel mud cake (nati special) with caramel ganache layers. Covered in white fondant. Roses are gumpaste. Ribbon and beads are not edible. Roses and ribbon are both deep aubergine although photo makes roses look black and ribbon pink....ahhhh could not get a decent photo. All comments and suggestions welcomed.
Karen, that is an awesome cake! Hubby has definatly perfected the art od smothing fondant!! One sugestion...If you covered the board in the white fondant you would get a more formal look and you would also make the cake look bigger.
I would love to cover boards but have not learnt that.. everyone says its easy but I am one of those people who learns best by seeing it done not just reading a tutorial. Given how exceptional your work is I am very flattered by your compliments.. thanks.

Its all hubbys effort and he said the trick is to buff and buff and buff .... at one stage I thought a genie would pop out of the cake....lol
