I does not look bad! I do have a question, is each layer on a cake board? And if so, is each layer supported with dowels? This is a cake to do again, it's a great idea and you can make it fabulous with a little practice. :D

I like the colors and the marbeling of the fondant. I have to give you kudos for taking on a big cake! I'm still scared to go above 2 tiers! Something to consider, too, if you haven't already, is to consider the Wilton (I know, I know, you hate Wilton, but hear me out!) classes offered at Michael's and other places. I just finished Course 3 and I learned so much even in just Course 1. All the little tips and "tricks" learned in the first night was worth the money paid for the class! Fun, too!

No harsh words from me. GREAT JOB!!!! I think that with practice you will see all that you can do. Something that I do is make a practice cake- small before I do the "real" one, just to get the feel and see what worked and what didn't. Keep up the good work.

i think your cake is amazing for your first cake. i've decorated cakes for almost 3 years now and I still have never done a tiered cake and have never put fondant on a real cake. the only time i ever did a tiered cake was the same time i used fondant and that was on a fake cake for a cake show at the flower show at coney island last year. so i think your cake rocks and is very cute and an awesome first cake. :)
