Thanks so much guys,,I really appreciate all your wonderful comments. The actual cake is just a round sponge cake (chocolate). I filled it with jam and cream. The Petals are made with melted white chocolate, coloured with yellow. I made a template with baking paper the shape of the petals and then spread the melted choccy over the template and draped over a piece of foil folded into a rod shape until dry. Then peeled paper off and arranged petals all around cake. Centre is choc sprinkled with coloured sugar

Great cake...how did you cut? Take petals off?
I took the middle piece out, then just cut cake pieces in between the petals.
