Woodworking

Woodworking on Cake Central

Not really a Father's Day cake - it was for a coworker's husband when he finished his woodworking apprenticeship, but I thought it would serve for the most inspiration in this category!

Really cool. It is so hard to think of a guys cake if they are not into sports. Would you mind sharing how you made the cake?

Top - Used a wood-texture stamp from the craft store, cut the fondant into strips, and staggered like a wood floor; royal icing dots at each corner for nails. Toolbox was from mini-breadpan. Cut a little of the top off for a lid and covered in same way. Tools were Wilton's hardware candle kit, but I cut off the wicks! Enjoy!
