Practice Cake
This is a vanilla bean pound cake with IMBC I did for practice. Unfortunately, I had real trouble with the roses. I don't know if my frosting was too warm and soft, or if it was all my technique. I guess it gives me an excuse to decorate more! I was ok with the cornelli lace, first time I've tried it.
Love the bold colors... and the ying and yang style you layed out the flowers and lace.

Love the design!! Roses are tempermental. The icing has to be really stiff or they look globby. I love cornelli lace too. Takes the pressure off of a perfectly smooth surface. Ha!

I like your bottom border... was it just a leaf tip? Neat idea.
