That is an awesome cake! Great job!
that is an amazing ball. How did you do the hexagons? May i ask what pan is the ball made of? brilliant!
Thank you kindly everyone. It was fun to do, though I was really rushing. The hex's are cut by tracing around a template with a paring knife. The pattern came with the Wilton Sports Ball pan that I found at Michaels for like $6.99--SO worth it! :)
Wonderful cake! Love your soccer ball!
ok...I seriously thought..."omg she put a real ball on a cake".....that is AMAZING!!! what a beautiful job!!
VERY good!!! My ball came out "squished". How did you get it so round??? GREAT JOB!!!
the swag is fondant, and I'd say maybe to dowel the cake before transport, just in case.

Great job! I have an order to make a cake using black fondant. Did you do the fondant or did you purchase it? Could you give me advice on how to do the black fondant? Thanks much.
I colored the fondant with Wilton black, lots of it, and the best thing was that I colored it DAYS ahead of time and let it sit in a ziplock bag to darken before I actually needed it.
Wow, your soccer ball is fantastic. I have one to do for my son this weekend. I can only how it will be half as good as yours.
This is an AWESOME cake!!
