My First Wedding Cake!

My First Wedding Cake! on Cake Central

My first wedding cake! Also my first time working with impression mats and dragees. Thanks to Caroline Johnson Photography for giving me a photo sice I forgot my camera at home!

Thank You!! I got the coloring by adding natural vanilla instead of clear and also putting in a bit of brown gel coloring to add a bit of warmth. The florist put the flowers on after I left, but I'm assuming they're real. Thanks everyone for your kind comments, I was so nervous on the way to set it up I almost died!

Look how pretty! Great job! I really love the ivory (is it ivory coloring added?) with the pink. Oh, and just the right touch of green!

Hard to believe this is your first wedding cake! This cake is totally my taste...would have loved to have had it at my wedding! Just beautiful! I also would like to know what coloring you used!

BEAUTIFUL! I love the color! I was searching for small stacked cakes, if you don't mind-what size pans did you use?

Thanks again guys :-D. Llaurals, I used a 6-9-12 setup. If you look at my other photos, the painted one is 4-6-9 and worked out pretty well. I found though that you need to make the 4" layer 3 layers tall and the other ones 2 layers high in order to balance out the height. Otherwise the top tier ends up looking squatty.
