WOW!!!!! ya dun gud! real good! impressed...much more detail than I thought possible. The gold is an excellent touch (and as for the lean -- well give an old clock a break age=lean! ... seem to remember it leaning a bit last time I saw it in person -- wait, that was me!) BE VERY PROUD OF THIS!!!!
Thanks Doug, you were a great help with your advice. If I attempt it again I will know what to do different.
8O Um....WOW!!! Amazing! How big was this cake? I agree with Doug, be very proud of this!
Holy Schmokes! Incredible! How long did it take you to do that? It's absolutely amazing!
all i got is....WOW!! AMAZING!
How did you ever find the time...no kids I am guessing...or at least no little ones...
Wow, I can understand why you were upset, but what you did is nothing short of amazing. I know how that 'falling down' thing goes, but the clock face, texture on the sides and gold detailing is really great.
This cake was 23" tall the tower layers (5) are 5" x 5" x 4" sitting on a 10" x 2" base cake. It weighed 20 lbs. It took 5 hrs to sculpt the top (above clock face layer) from chocolate Satin Ice fondant then 6 hrs to pipe and paint royal icing. Thank you for all your kind compliments.
My kids are 30 & 28 yrs old. I work full time. I finished this at 5 a.m. took a little nap and got up at 7 a.m. for work. I do most of my work late night & into the a.m. hrs. Thank you for the kind compliments.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! TOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. I'm just about to start another one of these. Sometimes I think I'm a glutton for punishment!
Amazing Cake. Really nice.
Wow! I just found this cake, and you did an amazing job! I may pm you for instructions if I get brave enough to attempt it myself. So so cool!
