Graduation Sports Cake

This was my first cake done outside of my kids birhtdays. It was a graduation cake for one of the kids from our church. He was active in several sports and wanted that incorprated on the cake. All I could think of was to put a bunch of balls on it. With the help of this site and all the awsome ideas, I added the yearbook base and icing sheet diploma. Tassle made from fondant and kandy klay, writing on binding was edible marker on icing paper.

It looks great! I was looking for an idea for a graduation cake I need to make this weekend. Hope you don't mind if I use your idea also.

use away, my idea came from looking at other cakes...that is why I love this site! I must say, the balls are a little sloppy. With 3 kids I have to do things at night. I was a little groggy. Thank you for all your compliments. As for the collage, I have web development software that I use to create images. Sounds like "gimp" mentioned above would work well for anyone wanting to do multiple pics.
